On the occasion of 75th Anniversary of Supreme Court of India PM Narendra Modi launched Digital Court 2.0 and New Website of Supreme Court of India at its Diamond Jubilee Program. Here, Prime Minister Modi also unveiled the Digital Supreme Court Report (Digi-SCR).
In the Diamond Jubilee Celebration, "The Prime Minister Modi recognised the futuristic thought and vision of the makers of the Indian Constitution and highlighted the significance of a robust judicial system of India. Prime Minister Modi also addressed that the Supreme Court of India has given many remarkable judgements upon "Fundamental Rights" and " Freedom of Speech".
Prime Minister Modi recapitulated that India is now the focus of the world, and the world trusts India. He emphasized the need of India is to take advantage of each and every opportunity and ensure easy access of justice.
The Chief Justice of High Courts of the country and former Supreme Court Judges were also attended the diamond Jubilee celebration.

The Government of India had approved funds of ₹800 crore for the extension of Supreme Court Building Complex during the last week and after launching of Digital Court the verdict of Supreme Court shall pass digitally.
Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said the judiciary’s role as a protective shield against injustice, tyranny, and arbitrariness and we have delivered our duty very diligently so far.
He further emphasized three principles that are necessary for the Supreme Court to function according to the constitutional mandate.
The first is an independent judiciary, where the Supreme Court must be independent of the legislature and executive.
The second is the judicial approach towards adjudication, which postulates that the Supreme Court must interpret the Constitution not as a rigid body of rules but as a living organism.
The third principle is that this Court must secure the respect of citizens for it to establish itself as a legitimate institution. The confidence of our citizens is determinative of our own legitimacy.
